Writer. Fashion Forecaster. Overachiever.

I'm Julia, an artistic professional with a love for analyzing fashion through a historical and pop culture lens, creating practical guides for participating in trends, and observing the zeitgeist of the industry in order to forecast what will come next! With a background in Fashion Merchandising, my aim is to be curious, compassionate, and creative-- making people's lives a bit better by encouraging self-expression and understanding.

The above snapshots demonstrate my experience with trend forecasting, reporting, marketing, and design. Dig deeper into these individual projects in my portfolio tab.

When I’m not in the classroom…

One of my greatest loves has always been to write.

As the daughter and granddaughter of English majors, with a father who writes thrillers as a hobby, I have always been afflicted by an obsession with storytelling, impeccable English, and dystopian novels.

I have been involved with River City Fashion, a student-led magazine through Virginia Commonwealth University, since I was a Sophomore. Through the years, I have grown from freelance writer to Editor-In-Chief.
